"CHARITY CLOTHING SALE FOR REFUGEES IN NEED"

In autumn 2019, we launched a large CHARITY CLOTHING SALES, initiated by Merita Laurél, to support actively urgently needed winter clothing of the REFUGEE'S INITIAL RECEPTION CAMP in Hesepe, Germany.

As media coverage in Germany of the Syrian refugee crisis had significantly descended in 2019, direct help from individuals such as clothing donations or financial support had also dropped.

But as winter was around the corner and still thousands of new arrived refugees needed support in Hesepe, one of Germany's largest initial reception refugee camps, we could contribute with  a large clothing donation as well as further practical things like new underwear and socks, suitcases and bags.

In spring-summer 2018 ARTISTS BEYOND BORDERS had initiated private concerts in North Germany for people suffering from mobility issues: Those, who cannot easily attend a theater play or concert or any other music event could call for a private concert by a pro-musician in hospital, rehab centers or their private home to enjoy a little distraction from their illness.

"CHARITY BOOK TOUR: Cross-cultural experience"

In 2017, when ARTISTS BEYOND BORDERS was just founded, the first project was a charity book tour (presentations) in Germany by Merita Laurél introducing her book "The German singer and her Arab audience", discussing about cross-cultural dialogue, experience and learnings with the audience.
